ABS sensors (rotational speed sensors) measure the speed at which each wheel rotates by means of a sensor ring. The two sensor rings and the speed sensor are located on all four wheels. If a wheel speed imbalance is detected during measurement, the ABS sensor detects it. This information is then transmitted through data lines from the ABS control unit to the engine or transmission systems, for example.
