Coaxial cable

Coaxial cable, or coax cable for short, is a bipolar cable. They consist of an inner conductor, which is surrounded at regular intervals by a hollow cylindrical outer conductor. Its task is to protect the internal conductor against parasitic radiation. The structure of the cable determines the resistance of the line waves and the damping of the cable as a function of frequency.
