High voltage cables

High voltage cables are required for the electric drive of vehicles. Therefore, it is important that the cables withstand the extreme current loads in hybrid and electric vehicles (BEV, PHEV).

Kromberg & Schubert has been a specialist in the development and production of high voltage cables for electromobility since 2008. Our cables guarantee a perfectly functioning power supply in the vehicle. The success of our cable solutions is confirmed by numerous OEM approvals.

Areas of application

Our HV-cables are used in electrical passenger cars, but also in commercial vehicles such as construction and agricultural machinery, buses and trucks. In addition, high voltage cables are increasingly used in means of transport by air or water.

Quality characteristics

In addition to their extreme temperature resistance, HV-cables offer the advantage of having a high tear resistance and are very flexible yet robust. In order to be able to guarantee these properties, Kromberg & Schubert has a wide range of silicone compounds at its disposal. These include materials specially developed in our KROlab. All high voltage cables are available with copper or aluminium conductors, in shielded and unshielded versions and single or multi core.

Power and control cables

Our HV power cables serve, among other things, as power supply cables, e-drive motors or electrical energy storage, while the control cables ensure optimally functioning wiring for the electric oil pump or air-conditioning compressor, or serve as charging cables.

KROflat Ground Straps and Blades

Our HV-cables are also available in flat versions as ground straps or blade rails. They are supplied as a standard version or as a customized solution.

We would be happy to offer you one of our proven cables or to develop a new solution together with you that is perfectly tailored to your individual requirements.
